My Story

I was a shy and lonely little boy who would often wake up in the middle of the night, smuggle my record player under a tent I made of my blanket, drop the needle on the record, and let the music take me away.  I was never alone as long as I had music in my life.

When I grew up, I overcame my shyness and produced nearly 100 albums at Capitol Records.  But I never forgot the little boy inside me.  Over the years I searched for a way to give back this gift of music and help other children.

My passion ignited when my friend, Dr. Jay Zorn, a leading music educator, asked why no one had produced a Music Appreciation program for babies and toddlers.  Most ‘Baby’ CDs offered just one composer, the orchestrations were far too complex and the newer ones sounded like a synthetic music box instead of real music.

I remembered those magic nights when I listened as a child, and it was always the melodies that moved me.  I knew exactly what I had to do. With the help of a dedicated team, I spent the next year listening to and shaping every note of the arrangements to capture the melodic essence of each piece.  We recorded Baby Concerts with a fine ensemble and included Mozart and more – over 30 composers and traditional melodies from around the world – a wide range of great music in five unique Concerts the whole family can enjoy.

Baby Concerts is my way to share the gift - to welcome little ones with the story of great music told in a way that echoes far beyond their early years.  It’s music to grow on that you never outgrow…

My story has come full circle. The little boy not only got his chance to give back the gift of music but now also has the chance to give the gift of helping orphaned and abandoned children around the world.

Our Team

The Producers

Kenneth Kaganovitch has produced nearly 100 albums and brought joy to over a million listeners of Classical and Children's music. His 30-album "Best of The Great Composers" was featured in CD Review as "a must."

Cesar Benitez, arranger of GRAMMY winning albums, is one of the most prolific composers, arrangers and music directors in film, television and Latin music. Born in Managua, Nicaragua, he entered the Conservatory at age 11 as a violin prodigy.

Colombe Proulx, a veteran of Capitol Records, expanded the repertoire with several key pieces and was line producer for the Spanish and French versions of Baby Concerts.

The Magic Flute

Pedro Eustache, the featured flute and woodwinds soloist with Yanni, anchors the ensemble of players.  He is one of the most recognized musicians in the world and has been featured soloist with the London and Prague Symphony Orchestras. His mastery of classical music and traditional folk melodies can be heard throughout Baby Concerts.
